Panic Struck

Here it is....30 days til summer and I'm in a total panic. I've fell way off the band wagon. I guess you can say I fell off, rolled down the hill, and was swept away in the river. I am NO WHERE near where I want to be. Yes, life happens, but I should have never let myself get this bad. Months of binge eating and laying on the couch....I guess you could say the struggle is real. I've tried and tried to get motivated, but the feeling just wasn't there. So here it is...30 days til summer and I'm out of shape.

I am making a public promise to myself...no more binge eating, no more just laying on the couch. I will do atleast 30 minutes of exercise a day and try to fit more veggies into my diet. I will complete the whole 21 Day Fix with meal plan no matter what! My daughter's birthday party is less than a month away and I don't want to be the "fat" mom hiding in all the pictures.

Goal Body that I've been working for about 2 1/2 years now:


Tone and fit. Not a ridiculous dream. I can do it! Yes, I'm going to be sore. Yes, I'm going to want to quit, but I'm only hurting myself if I do. I need to put in the effort to get the results I want. Simple. As. That. There is no magic in this process. If I want to keep off the weight, I need to work for it consistently. 


There is going to have to be a lot of changes in my life. Meal prep is going to be my best friend. I'm going to have to say NO to the extra chicken nuggets Eva doesn't eat. No to pizza when I don't feel like cooking. (which won't happen because I'll already have my meals done!) I'm going to have to wake up early to fit my work out in! (good thing its only 30 mins) Tuesday, May 27th is THE DAY! I'm all in and no looking back!

60 Days of Les Mills Combat

This is my motivation. This pictures proves I can do it! 



Last February of 2013 I decided to begin my Beachbody journey. I was a single mom, sick of feeling tired and just plain BLAH all the time. I joined a challenge group with my coach and took the plunge and bought Les Mills Combat challenge pack. Little did I know that it would change my life for the better. The first time I did the work out video I thought that it was so much fun and I could stick to it. I have never actually stuck to a work out program before. I usually got bored and just gave up. Not this one. The music is so up beat and the moves are so much fun! Kick boxing at it's best! Since then I've done 3 rounds of Les Mills Combat. Its seriously my soulmate workout! I lost 25 lbs wit this program and so many inches!

I kept up with my fitness journey until about September. I met my boyfriend, moved out of my parents house, and just couldn't juggle everything at once. I was over whelmed and gave up. Of course I gained my weight back and I'm on my journey again. Clean eating and T25...soon the 21 Day Fix.

I look at this pictures and it proves to me that I am capable of making myself better. I am capable of being a fit momma! It's not only about being fit, it's about being happy and confident. This is what weight loss means to me. It means that I am happy, positive, and energetic....yeah the body is a plus

Week One of Focus T25 with Shaun T!



Week one was interesting to say the least. Shaun T kicked my booty in way I didn't know could be done. I haven't worked out since September of last year. Yeah I know...I needed some down time to myself to deal with some things. The whole first week I didn't know what to expect. One day we would do cardio and then the next had some boxing moves thrown into it. He always kept me guessing and working different parts of my body. Thursday came and I was so sore. It was ab day. In previous workouts, I always skipped ab day (I know I'm crazy right?!) I could NEVER get through the whole video. I couldn't ever do half the moves because my mid section is so weak. I was SO proud of myself. I attempted all of the moves (modified some) and successfully got through the whole 25 minutes. This was a milestone in itself.



So here is what I lost from week one...just one week!


This seems a little extreme to me, but remember....I haven't worked out since September and I've been eating pure junk. Over eating pure junk food. Week one I cleaned up my diet drastically, gave up pop, and gave up refined junk food. My body always seems to respond better when I'm fueling it, not using it as a trash can. This was also my first full week back on shakeology! Oh how I missed it.  I don't typically count calories either. I need to improve in that aspect.

Guzzling Gallons- Stay Hydrated!

I am currently running a water drinking challenge. It seems to be going great! We are on day 5 and most of us are getting at least 100 oz of water in a day. Since I have started I feel more energized and less bloated. Yes, 100 oz or more means running to the bathroom constantly, but we are cleaning toxins out here!

Here are 9 GREAT reasons to drink water:

With this water challenge, I gave up pop (yes, I'm from western PA). I have been drinking pop for years now and I've noticed it only has a negative affect on my body. Not only does it make me gain weight, it makes me retain water, become tired, my face breaks out, and my PH is totally thrown off in my body from the amount of sugar in pop. I become so thirsty after drinking it and I burp WAY too much from the carbonation. Another positive note is my boyfriend decided to give up pop too. No more pop in the house means no more temptations. The only temptation I have to over come is if we go out to eat. If I'd like to stay on track with me eating, its a lot easier to prepare my own food at home. Set yourself up for success! If you don't have any food to temp you, you won't eat it. 


Another thing I have noticed is when I think I'm hungry and want to binge and eat junk food, I drink a bottle of water. If I am still hungry after that I eat a healthy snack, like almonds and an orange. I am so used to going on a binge. I'd eat anything from frozen pizza, nachos and cheese, french fries, and fast food from anywhere. No more fast food. No more junk food! Bottom line....hydrate yourself. Fuel yourself. Focus T25

Alright so I took the leap and ordered Focus T25 today! I am beyond excited to start this program. I did order it back in September, but returned it because I just felt like I had no time to accomplish anything. Now that my daughter has adjusted to moving, I can now tackle this program! 25 mins a day is going to seem like a piece of cake. I'm sure Shaun T is going to kick my behind, but I'm ready for you, buddy!

My Why!

I want to accomplish this program to lose weight, get toned, and gain my energy back. I want to able to run around with my 3 year old. I want to tone my midsection and lose my love handles. Since I've had Eva, that has been a huge problem area. I want to look good in a swim suit this summer. I want to be HOTT for my boyfriend (I mean who doesn't? lol)  Most of all I want to inspire others to feel good about themselves, get into shape, and live a healthy lifestyle!

Confession: I Have Extreme Anxiety

Alright...Confession time!! I have dealt with anxiety all of my life. It was only this past year I realized what I was dealing with (thanks to my wonderful boyfriend). I always thought something was off with me. I was never comfortable in my own skin. I never wanted to participate in any games when I was younger, I absolutely hated school and any social get togethers, and I could not deal with stress at all. Any stress at all put me over the edge mentally and emotionally. I'm definitely an introvert and like to keep to myself.

There are a few situations that stick out in my head that made me realize I had a problem. One was when I was 17 years old. I was in high school and playing high school volleyball at the time. Volleyball seemed to get my mind off everything that was going on in my life. Exercise always seemed the answer to my anxiety. At this time, my life was hectic. School, volleyball practice and games, and working out on top of that. In the midst of all this my mom informed me that she wanted to divorce my father (which never happened), but I took it to heart. I became physically ill and my immune system became weak. I got mono, an extremely bad sinus infection, and a severe UTI. This is one way my body handled all the anxiety and stress.

Another situation that I recall is when I was 18 and had my first job. It wasn't a bad job, I just didn't like the social interaction. I would pretend to be sick and call off or be late on purpose. I was too anxious to work with the public. At this time I turned to exercise again and took up running. I did end up getting fired from that job (oops), but it was for the best.

Before this year, the only time I would feel at peace with my life is when I was working out, running, or doing some sort of physical activity. When I became a beachbody coach last year, I actually became confident in myself. I actually did not feel anxious at all. I'm not sure if it was from all the endorphins or all the excitement, but I felt like I was supposed to be doing this. I felt like this was the answer to my problems.

I then decided I was going to move out of my parent's house (finally) and move in with my boyfriend and daughter. Talk about extreme stress!! I wasn't used to living on my own. I wasn't used to paying bills. My beachbody business took a back burner and I fell back into my anxious ways. It was worse than ever and my boyfriend suggested I talked to a doctor. I did at that point and she put me on medication. Here I am again taking my beachbody business serious and I'm hoping I can wean myself off the meds. I want to be healthy, all natural, and care free. This is a big goal of mine!

I know not everyone is perfect. I know not all beachbody coaches are perfect. We are all human and can make mistakes. I'm just trying to get back on track and love my life!!
